Charlyne Yi embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn't fully understand: Love.

Paper Heart follows Nick and Charlyne on a cross-country journey to document what exactly "love" is. Interviewing ministers, happily married couples, chemists, romance novelists, divorce lawyers, a group of children and more, the determined young girl attempts to find definition and perhaps even experience the mysterious emotion. But as they travel across the United States and even venture to "The City of Love" her pessimistic denial may hinder her chances at finding real happiness.

Weaving together reality and fantasy, Paper Heart combines elements of documentary and traditional storytelling to bring a fresh perspective to the modern romance.

Charlyne Yi does not believe in love. Or so she says. Well, at the very least, she doesn't believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood mythology of love, and her own experiences have turned her into another modern-day skeptic. Charlyne embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn't fully understand. As she and her good friend Nick search for answers and advice about love, Charlyne talks with friends and strangers, scientists, bikers, romance novelists, and children. They each offer diverse views on modern romance, as well as various answers to the age-old question: does true love really exist? Then, shortly after filming begins, Charlyne meets a boy after her own heart: Michael Cera. As their relationship develops on camera, her pursuit to discover the nature of love takes on a fresh new urgency. Charlyne risks losing the person she finds closest to her heart. [D-Man2010]

Jack Willis is a handsome roadtrain driver with a secret - he has just become a top-selling romance novelist. However, being a 'man's man' in the Australian outlook, to avoid embarrassment, he needs a name, a woman's name - and he chooses that of his best friend, Ruby Vale. He must do some fancy footwork to continue the charade when the glamorous city publisher, Ziggy, arrives in dusty outback Lucktown to sign 'Ruby Vale' to a major book deal. Ruby agrees to help Jack though it's for her own gain as well - the publisher will pay for her coming wedding (with Hamish, Jack's buddy). Accompanied by Jack, Ruby goes to Sydney to meet the media, appear on TV and cocktail parties, etc. Gradually, Jack realizes that he has fallen in love with Ruby, while Ruby is also touched by Jack's novel. However, Hamish arrives in Sydney a few days later and asks both of them to stop all these foolish things...

Synopsis Escape from Polygamy (2013)

This is a really good film and covers a range of uncomfortable subjects relating to polygamy. In a Mormon-style compound in Utah, 'prophet' Ervil, the leader of the group, drives around in a nice car and leers at the women. He is younger than most who run this type of community. The main characters are Julina, the 17 year old heroine, and Ryder, the son of the evil Ervil (yes that's his name.) Julina comes to the religious compound with her widowed mother who is looking for spirituality after her husband's death. As Julina and Ryder fall for each other and their love develops, Ervil calls Julina in and says that God has told him to marry her. She is horrified and doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Then a young girl, who had befriended Julina, collapses on her as she tries to talk to her. It transpires that she is pregnant and too young to have a baby. Julina's mum is a trained nurse and as she is seeing to the girl, she tells Ervil that she needs to ring for an ambulance. He refuses and the young girl dies. Then he drops his son in the middle of nowhere, declaring that Ryder is the devil. Ryder makes his way to the city and manages to find one of his friends, Mike, who had been banished and asks him for help. He refuses at first and an ex-priest takes him under his wing, making Mike decide to help him. They set out to rescue Julina before she marries Ervil.

The performance by William Mapother is particularly chilling and the movie takes some twists and turns you won't see coming.

Summary Bulldog Drummond Escapes (1937)

Captain Drummond becomes a prisoner when he intents to protect a beautiful heiress of an espionage organization.

Captain Hugh 'Bulldog' Drummond has just returned to England. As he is driving home in the dark, a young woman jumps out in front of his car. He misses her, but she falls to the ground. As he tries to revive her, he hears a shout for help, then gunshots. As he goes to investigate, the woman drives away with Drummond's car. He is soon able to trace her to nearby Greystone Manor, and when he goes there to meet her, she slips him a note urging him to help her get out of a desperate situation.
